Car Auction Practice 2019

Given an aspect of photography is literally anything can be the subject (and you don't have to be overly interested in something for it to be a new challenge) practising my photography pursuit isn't just experimenting or developing technique and skills, it's a purpose that also allows me to have fun in the process ! 😉

That said, even though I've been recovering from a nasty chest infection,
I'd recently been invited via Twitter to participate in a photo-challenge, so I immediately set-off to grab some shots at a local car auction, it seemed the perfect opportunity not to be missed!

Now I confess that I'm not that much into cars... but I did find the experience interesting and look forward to visiting an auction again.

It would have been cool to have stayed much longer but it's Winter and not much point unravelling all the weeks of getting well, so here's some practice results - a small mix of standard and HDR outdoor and indoor actuals taken under an hour.

Outside and in there were people wandering around, walking into shot, and as you can see with some of the indoor photos there were vertical pillar supports, overall not too frustrating but minor challenges to navigate. 😉

A little patience whilst thinking about how to take some shots really helps - then it's time to photograph away!
So not thwarted, the 'practice mission' accomplished and good fun.
